The eponymous chef of Irene's Health Kitchen at Anantara Villa Padierna, Irene Hernández has a unique and admirable approach to gastronomy.Her fascination with food began in the summer of 2012 while she was taking care of her grandmother. She found herself experimenting with recipes and innovating in the kitchen, always looking for new challenges and interesting ways to make her creations delicious and healthy.
In September 2014, she began studying gastronomy in Salamanca, finished two years later in Madrid and joined the team at Anantara Villa Padierna in 2021. In the summer of 2022, the hotel invited Irene to create a new gastronomic proposal – Irene's Health Kitchen – where she now leads the way in crafting new healthy recipes. The restaurant is an expansion of the wellness experience at Anantara Spa and welcomes diners with hearty, soulful and vibrant offerings, including red fruit gazpacho, protein bread sandwiches and delicious açai bowls.
