Old World glamour meets contemporary luxury in the heart of Budapest. Designed by celebrated Austro-Hungarian architect Alajos Hauszmann, Anantara New York Palace is an architectural ode to Europe’s Belle Epoque. A marble façade is adorned with ornate carvings and clock towers, while inside, ballroom-style columns, chandeliers and frescoes transport guests back to a golden era.

The hotel is located on the eastern Pest side of the Danube, surrounded by the lively theatres, restaurants and bars the city is known for. The capital’s most famous attractions, including the Parliament Building and Buda Castle, lie just across the river.

Accommodation is centred around the cavernous atrium, while the ground-floor New York Café is the heart of the social scene. Named ‘The Most Beautiful Café in the World’, with gilded stucco and plush velvet, the venue has played host to Hungary’s artists and poets for over a century.

Wander the city in search of inspiration, then return to unwinding in opulent surrounds. The signature spa draws on Budapest’s rich history of mineral spring healing, with an indoor relaxation pool and sauna cocooned in an ice cave.
