Chef Santiago Altuna Carrizo

Head Chef at La Veranda, Santiago Altuna Carrizo was born in Argentina in 1977 and began his career in 2004 learning classic cookery from Chef Cristóbal Gómez here at Anantara Villa Padierna. Later, in the same kitchen, he discovered the secrets of avant-garde cuisine under the guidance of 12-Michelin-starred Martín Berasategui.

Having acquired knowledge and experience in various establishments at Anantara Villa Padierna, Chef Santiago creates menus at La Veranda that fuse tradition with avant-garde techniques and always focus on quality local ingredients.
