A good deed a day makes the world go round.

Ever since the first resort opened in 2001, Anantara has been committed to creating luxury travel experiences that also benefit the environment and local communities. Partnering with guests, locals and staff, at least one good deed takes place at one hotel across three continents and counting.

Some of our projects:

  • Island cheetah breeding programme in the UAE
  • Mangrove planting in the UAE and Thailand
  • The establishment of an eye clinic in the Maldives
  • Coral adoption programmes in the Maldives
  • Rare turtle release programmes in Thailand
  • Outreach programmes for orphanages and schools at each resort
  • Elephant autism therapy project in Thailand
OUR PROJECTS

Dollars for Deeds

Giving back - together - dollar for dollar. Immersing guests in the spirit of giving back, Anantara offers the Dollars for Deeds programme at each of our hotels, matching guest donations during their stay and giving to a range of worthy local causes. VIEW PROJECT

Sustainable Straws

Say goodbye to plastic. As of 1 January 2018, Anantara has begun a new chapter with its sustainable straw initiative - saying goodbye to plastic straws in all of its hotels and resorts in Asia. With this initiative, Anantara (along with sister brand AVANI) became the first major hotel brand to eradicate plastic straws at every single property in Asia. VIEW PROJECT

The Dugong Education and Conservation Centre

At Anantara Si Kao in the south of Thailand. The waters surrounding Anantara Si Kao are home to one of the last remaining populations of dugongs, or sea cows, in Southeast Asia. Anantara joins hands with locals, marine scientists and guests to help conserve the endangered population and its habitat. VIEW PROJECT
