Our Commitment to Sustainable

The resort is certified to ISO 20121 standards, ensuring that meeting, conference, and event operations follow internationally recognised practices to minimise resource use, reduce waste, and incorporate responsible sourcing from initial planning to post-event evaluationagement, socio-economic impact, and cultural preservation.

At Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort, we believe that luxury and sustainability go hand in hand. Our commitment to the environment and the local ecosystem is at the heart of everything we do. We are delighted to introduce a new, exciting chapter in our journey towards a greener future: our stingless bee conservation programme.
In partnership with local experts, we have established a series of stingless bee hives within our lush gardens. This initiative is not just about keeping bees; it is a holistic approach to conservation and education.
We invite you to take a moment during your stay to visit our hives, learn about our buzzing residents, and perhaps even sample a spoonful of their exquisite honey. It’s a small initiative with a big impact, and we are thrilled to have you as a part of it.

At Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort, we’re all about local initiatives that give back to the community. Join us in bettering the social and environmental surroundings of the places we call home
Our ‘Dollars for Deeds’ programme is a chance for you to combine a fun stay and the opportunity to do good. Whether it’s rescuing street elephants in Thailand, planting corals in the Maldives, protecting turtles in Sri Lanka or giving children the chance for a be¬er life in Vietnam, we’re dedicated to grassroots corporate social responsibility programmes in each of our locations around the world.

In a significant step towards restoring the Chao Phraya River, Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort has proudly partnered with AXA Thailand General Insurance and the Oceans for All Foundation. This collaboration focuses on protecting water ecosystems and reflects Anantara's commitment to sustainability and environmental preservation.
The resort's role in this initiative is to provide docking facilities and operational support for the innovative, flat-bottomed boat sponsored by AXA Thailand. Crafted from upcycled materials, the vessel is specifically designed for efficient waste collection along the river, a crucial move to improve the health and biodiversity of Bangkok's waterways.
By providing a base for the boat's operations, Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort is playing an instrumental role in this project. The collaboration between these three organisations represents a unified commitment to sustainable development and a cleaner, healthier future for the Chao Phraya River and the communities that depend on it.

In partnership with Scholars of Sustenance (SOS) Thailand, excess safe, high-quality food from our culinary operations is collected on a regular basis and redistributed to local vulnerable communities, preventing organic waste from reaching landfills and reducing associated greenhouse gas emissions.
