The nearby village of Tard makes for a charming day out. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by the locals with a welcome drink and traditional Hungarian snack. An introduction to the Matyó community of the Northeast and their unique history and culture follows.
Next will be a visit to the small embroidery factory run by multiple generations of women to try your hand at embroidery. Learn from the ladies themselves how they customise their own clothes.
A short stroll through the village, stopping to visit the church, brings you to lunch: a homemade serving of gulyas, or goulash, accompanied by traditional songs.
