Anantara Kihavah is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful resorts we have visited in the Maldives. The island itself is absolutely breathtaking – large, lush and surrounded by the most incredible turquoise waters. There is so much to explore, and being able to cycle around such a gorgeous island makes the experience even more special. The villas are quite simply mind-blowing. Beautifully designed, incredibly spacious and luxurious in every sense. They really do have the wow factor and are easily among the most impressive villas we have experienced in the Maldives. The staff were always friendly, welcoming and polite. However, we did feel that the service lacked the personal touch that makes a truly exceptional five-star resort stand out. Whilst everyone was lovely, the experience sometimes felt a little impersonal. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment for us was the food. For a resort of this calibre and price point, we expected something truly exceptional, but the dining was average at best. The quality, variety and overall execution simply didn’t reflect the level of luxury that Kihavah promises. Food is such an important part of a luxury holiday, and this was where the resort really fell short for us. That said, the underwater restaurant was absolutely spectacular. A truly unforgettable experience and undoubtedly one of the highlights of our stay. The setting is extraordinary and something everyone should experience at least once. Overall, Kihavah is an incredibly beautiful resort with some of the most spectacular villas and scenery in the Maldives. It has so much going for it, and with improvements to the dining experience and a little more personalised service, it could be truly exceptional. We absolutely loved the island itself, but at this level of luxury, the food and service should be just as memorable as the surroundings.

Male International Airport receives international flights from all around the world, and is only a seaplane flight away. Alternatively, fly into the domestic Dharavandhoo Airport, to be followed by a speedboat journey available day or night.

Guests arriving in Male after 3.30 pm can travel with a domestic flight to Dharavandhoo Airport. We will pick you up for the 30-minute speedboat trip to Anantara Kihavah.
By Seaplane
Access the seaplanes by a quick four-minute transfer from Velana International Airport. Relax and enjoy the comforts of the seaplane lounge whilst awaiting your departure on a flight which will take you over spectacular island archipelagos for an exhilarating arrival to our resort.
All seaplane transfers are booked by the resort and charged on arrival during check-in. For a smooth transfer, please share your arrival and departure flight details with us at least three days before your arrival by emailing [email protected]
Roundtrip transfers are priced at USD 850 per adult and USD 425 per child (2–11.99 years). From 11 January 2027 to 10 January 2028, rates will be USD 900 per adult and USD 450 per child, with infants (0–1.99 years) travelling complimentary. All rates are inclusive of taxes.
Your ticket includes a maximum baggage allowance of 25 kg per passenger. Hand luggage should not exceed 20” x 12” x 7” in size or 5 kg in weight. Excess baggage is chargeable at $5.80 per kg, payable at the airport.
By Private Charter Flight
For discerning travellers desiring the most breathtaking and exclusive arrival experience, Anantara is happy to assist with seaplane bookings.
Charter a seaplane for up to 12 passengers with luggage between Velana International Airport and Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas for USD 8,400 per way. Upgrade to a luxury VIP charter for five passengers for USD 9,450 per way. From 11 January 2027 to 10 January 2028, rates will be USD 8,500 per way for a standard charter and USD 9,500 per way for a VIP charter. All rates are inclusive of taxes.
