By introducing biodegradable straws, refillable bathroom amenities, and constantly evolving initiatives, we have reduced single-use plastics by 75%. Meanwhile, regular beach and lagoon clean-ups remove hundreds more kilos of existing plastics from the environment each year.

Dramatically reducing our environmental impact, we carefully segregate waste for recycling, composting, and reuse. Reclaimed villa decking is upcycled for fences and garden areas, while organic waste is composted to enrich the island’s soil.

Our dedicated landscaping team maintains ongoing programmes for planting olive, fig, lemon, and lime trees across the island, empowering seasonal, sustainable harvests today, tomorrow and beyond.

Enhanced greenhouse and aeroponic systems produce fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and herbs for our signature restaurants and in-villa dining, lowering our carbon footprint and delivering farm-to-table freshness. Over 216kg of produce was harvested onsite in 2025 alone.

Our team works in harmony with local schools and communities to host monthly mangrove planting days. Through these, we foster awareness and inspiration, protect the essential biodiversity of our coastal habitats, support fisheries, and cultivate natural carbon sinks.

Enchanting guests of all ages, our Arabian Wildlife Park protects endangered and vulnerable species such as Arabian oryx, gazelles, and cheetahs. Our committed conservation programs ensure safe habitats and preserve the delicate balance of the island’s essential ecosystem.
