Mt. Batur is one of the island’s most spectacular peaks, an active volcano with flowing lava that dominates the surrounding countryside. Break through the mist that surrounds it in a private helicopter, circling the crater for a bird’s-eye view inside. Mt. Batur can also be scaled on foot or in a jeep, and is particularly magical at sunrise.
