Derek’s love for Dublin and Irish history and folklore is palpable as he takes you on his captivating tour, where vibrant history and enchanting tales spring to life.

Your tour begins on The Rooftop Terrace to take in the sights of Dublin, unveiling the architecture of our hotel which mirrors the iconic Irish landscape sites of the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher and the Giants Causeway. Next you will begin your odyssey, along the Grand Canal Basin on Misery Hill, across the wonderful Grand Canal Square with its 38 Red Lit Poles, acting as the red carpet to the Daniel Libeskind angular designed Bord Gais Energy Theatre. On to the Windmill Quarter, where U2 rehearsed and recorded. And then, after a leisurely stroll, taking in more sights and marvelling at the transformation of this area, from dereliction into one of the most prosperous and welcoming areas of our city, our tour ends, and the stories begin with a creamy pint of Guinness or an aromatic hot Irish whiskey.
