THE DIOCLETIAN BATHS

Suspended over the remains of a public bathhouse

Named for the Emperor, the Diocletian Baths date back to 298 – 306 AD. Extending over 13 hectares and with capacity for 3,000 people, they were an important meeting place in ancient Rome. The remains of this iconic gathering place are visible through the glass floors on level -1.
THE CLEMENTINO WING

An ancient granary inside a hotel

The hotel’s fourth floor was once home to an ancient grain store. Built in 1705 by the architect Carlo Fontana by order of Pope Clemente XI , the Granary Clementino was the last of Rome’s public granaries.
MARIO SIRONIS MASTERPIECE

La Geografia

The hotel’s entrance is home to a masterpiece by artist Mario Sironi. “La Geografia” is the preparatory sketch for the mural “Italy between the Arts and Sciences” in the Aula Magna at the University of Rome La Sapienza.
MURANO CHANDELIERS

Sparkling from the ceilings

From the ceilings hang dazzling chandeliers made of Murano glass in the classic Venetian style.
