Sustainability

Preserving Hoi An for future generations

At Anantara, we immerse guests in the most stunning destinations in the world. As such, we are dedicated to preserving them for future generations.

Here at Anantara Hoi An Resort, our work covers three areas: the environment, our heritage and the local community.

Reducing Pollution

Elimination of Plastics

Guest personal care amenities in all rooms and suites are supplied in refillable dispensers. Plastic straws have been removed from all restaurants and bars.

Renewable Energy

Solar panels installed at the resort supply part of our hot water needs.

Waste Management

Prior to disposal, we diligently sort all waste generated on the premises.

On-site Water Bottling Plant

We produce our own water here on site both for drinking and operational use. Plastic bottles have been replaced with glass and are professionally sanitised in between use.
Environment

Our Resort Garden

We grow lemongrass, mint, aloe vera and ginger at the resort for use as spa ingredients, which reduces the transport needed to source them.

River Clean-Ups

Our resort sits on the Thu Bon River, where we hold regular clean-up activities. Team members eagerly participate, all the while learning more about conservation.
Green Growth 2050

Green Growth Platinum 2050 Certification

Anantara Hoi An Resort is certified under the Green Growth 2050 Global Standard, which is GSTC-recognised. Certification is valid until 7 February 2027. View our certificate here.

With Platinum certification, we are proud to be the first hotel in Vietnam in 2024 to achieve this accreditation.
Community

Dollars for Deeds

We fundraise for the Kianh Foundation, which provides special education for children with disabilities in the local area, matching dollar for dollar donations from guests.
