Meet Culinary Manager Arafat – the Globe-trotting Cuisinier

Arafat Omrani's journey begins in the kitchen, where his passion for Food and Beverage management first blossomed. With nearly two decades in the hospitality industry, he boasts a career that spans the globe, and his culinary creations serve as captivating narratives of adventure.

After graduating with a French degree from the culinary and hotel management school in Djerba in southern Tunisia, he headed to Qatar, where he learned new languages and trained with some of the country’s greatest chefs in the best restaurants and most luxurious hotels.

He spent two formative years working with three-Michelin-starred celebrity Chef Mansour Memarian at Al Mahara, Burj Al Arab – one of the world’s most recognisable hotels. Next, he worked at The Westin & Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Resorts in Dubai with Chef Stephane Buchholzer, and The World Association of Chefs' Societies named him “Cuisinier of the Year 2011”.

At Dubai’s renowned Cavalli Lounge & Restaurant Dubai, he created and perfected a contemporary French-Italian fusion fine-dining menu, before continuing to explore a world of culinary creations across Kuwait, Canada and Libya.

Now, Culinary Manager Arafat presents his unique take on creative cuisine, and innovative food and beverage concepts amid the dramatic Saharan dunes here at Anantara Tozeur.
