Bangkok, 20 October: Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas is pleased to announce that 11 hotels and resorts have been awarded in the 2016 Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards. The prestigious US magazine announced the results of its 29th annual awards last night in New York, which saw a selection of Anantara’s luxury properties recognised as amongst the very best in the world.
Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas was named #1 Resort in the Indian Ocean, and overall #2 Resort in the World, with Qasr al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara and Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort snagging the #2 and #3 Resorts in the Middle East – great achievements in these hugely popular destinations.
Amongst the accolades, six Anantara resorts were included in the Top Resorts in Asia category, including Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort at #6 and Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort Sri Lanka at #9, with both resorts also making the Best in the World Top 50 at #36 and #44 respectively. In addition Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel was awarded #17 for the Top Hotels in Southern Asia.
The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and among the most admired recognition of excellence in the travel industry and are commonly known as “the best of the best of travel”. This year, the awards received votes from over 300,000 dedicated readers for 7,394 hotels, 606 cities, 500 cruise ships, and 236 islands, resulting in a list of the best travel experiences in the world, including some of Anantara’s finest properties and locations.
