DUGONG SPOTTING

Spot marine creatures swimming in the Andaman sea.

Spend a half-day on a mesmerising boat trip to Libong Island in search of an encounter with the area’s resident dugongs. Native to the Andaman Sea, these languid creatures are a protected species and feed on seagrass in the warm waters.

During the tour, you will learn about to the threats to the dugong’s habitat, observe migratory sea birds as well as other marine life, including dolphins and turtles. As you keep your eyes peeled to spot dugongs swimming peacefully, your tour is enriched by insightful facts about these shy and fascinating creatures. A great day out for all the family with an informative and entertaining trip.

7.00 am: Depart from Anantara Si Kao Resort (hotel transportation)

7.30 am: Arrive to Had Yao Pier

8.00 am: Visit Li bong Island (Local village and Dugong spotting)

12.00 noon: Return to Had Yao Pier

12.30 pm: Lunch at Hat Yao Pier (Optional)

1.00 pm: Arrive back at Anantara Si Kao
