Samrub Greatest Hits: Catch Samrub For Thai at The Spice Market

Michelin starred chef, Prin Polsuk, is kicking off the culinary new year with an innovative takeover of The Spice Market restaurant between 15th-16th January 2021. His specially curated Samrub Greatest Hits menu is exclusive for The Spice Market and features his most requested fan favourite dishes from the past year.

A hot commodity across Bangkok’s most celebrated Thai restaurants, Chef Prin has previously headed Sala Rim Naam. Having spent time at the helm of London’s Michelin starred Nahm, he returned to Bangkok to lead its Bangkok sister to an inclusion in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants and earning the establishment a Michelin star in 2018.

A Thai national with a passion for traditional dishes dating back centuries, Chef Prin co-founded Samrub For Thai, an educational platform advocating for the preservation of olden Thai cooking traditions. Operating from a semi-private kitchen, the team re-interprets homestyle recipes in a seasonal menu.

The ‘Samrub Greatest Hits’ menu at The Spice Market will feature twelve courses, with premium ingredients prepared in a classical Thai style. Dishes date back to the era of King Rama VI and guests can expect to sample mind-blowing flavor pairings such as pickled Phuket lobster with white turmeric as well as jungle curry with Chanthaburi beef and rare dishes such as ‘Miang Tao Jeow’ - fermented yellow bean with lime and sesame seed serve on green leaves and cracker.

Chef Prin will feature his ‘Samrub Greatest Hits’ menu at Spice Market, Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel on 15 and 16 January 2021, starting at 6.30pm. Prices start from THB 3,300++ with non-alcoholic beverages and THB 5,000++ with a thoughtful wine pairing by Anantara Siam’s Thai sommelier. Price is subject to 10% service charge and 7% applicable government tax.

Reservations are essential and can be made by contacting Anantara Siam on telephone 02 126 8866 ext. 1232 or email spicemarket.asia@anantara.com.
