Loy Kratong and Yee Peng Festival
Celebrate the most magical and spectacular Thai festival of the year
Loy Kratong translates as 'float a kratong', the kratong being an offering made from beautifully woven banana leaves adorned with orchids, candles and incense. Innumerable kratong are set adrift on the River Ping in a sign of respect to the river spirits. Releasing a kratong is also a symbolic gesture that represents letting go of bad luck.
